Approach

Kim Willoughby came to weddings from filmmaking and fashion campaigns, and both still show. Days are covered documentary-style, with direction used sparingly and only where it earns its place: an editorial eye on the portraits, then well out of the way once the day has its own momentum.

The pictures are made to feel filmic and a little nostalgic rather than posed and perfect. What survives the edit is whatever is truest to the two people in it, which is usually the frames either side of the one everybody expected.

Based in Las Vegas and available for travel, from a chapel on Fremont Street to a multi-day celebration that needs a flight. Weddings, elopements and engagements are all booked directly with the studio.
